This area is known for its dry, cool climate and is therefor a new center for wine production. QuA has been asked to help to develop a new wine brand based in Pedernal, as part of the Callia/Salentein family of wines. Together with Gaston Basso Dastugue, who is the overall head of marketing, we are developing the marketing strategy, and ‘quincho’ – a visitors center. The location is a tough 2.5 hour drive offroad through the Andes. There is no water or power supply, therefor the buildings will be developed as completely self-sustaining. For the packaging we will work in collaboration with our friends Espluga from Barcelona. As always, the owner has the last word on the architecture!
