EEMS 1961

EEMS was built in 1961 on the Rijks Marine Werf in Den Helder and commissioned to perform bouying work between Ameland and the German border. She belonged to the Ministry of Defence in the Netherlands. Today she has a private owner, and has moorings in Hoorn and Amsterdam. Eems offers accommodation for 14 people. With 13.8 tons of diesel on board Eems has a large radius of action due to her long stroke engine. She has ben refurbished for living on-board, but retains many original features.
